There is an abundance of golf courses throughout the Twin Cities area. Below, you will find information about some of the most popular courses in the area, including directions, amenities and cost. Some of these course’s Web sites offer you the opportunity of signing up for a tee time online!

  • Arbor Pointe Golf Club (Inver Grove Heights): A premier nine-hole, par-31 executive course in a wooded setting with fantastic vista views. The course has a very mature feel due to the abundance of mature hardwoods and pines. The greens are large and undulating and well maintained. For an executive course, Arbor Pointe is perfectly suited for all skill level golfers – from beginner to competitive.
  • Braemar Golf Courses (Edina): Nestled in picturesque Braemar Park, with 500 acres of rolling hills and scenic lakes, surrounded by beautiful, untouched oak ridges, this course gives a feeling of seclusion amidst its urban setting. This course has been rated among the top 75 public golf courses in the nation by Golf Digest. It features 27 regulation holes, two nine-hole executive courses, a pro shop, driving range, practice putting green, indoor golf dome, and other amenities. The course also offers golf lessons, rules, etiquette clinics and leagues.
  • Columbia Golf Course (Minneapolis): Features 18 holes of challenging golf with large, mature trees lining the fairways, and a state of the art Learning Center and Driving Range with target greens.
  • Crystal Lake Golf Course (Lakeville): A quality, first-class facility maintained to country club standards. This course is open to the public on a daily fee basis.The course features pines, pristine wetlands and is beautifully accentuated with seven ponds, which create challenging water hazards. This 18-hole, par-71 course offers gently rolling hills and natural reclaimed Minnesota wetlands to challenge all levels of golfers.
  • Dahlgreen Golf Club (Chaska): A mature, 18-hole championship course offers rolling hills, elevation changes, superb conditioning, and a great variety of hole layouts to test your game.
  • Elk River Country Club (Elk River): An 18-hole, championship par-72 course that offers a variety of challenges and topography found nowhere else in the area. Elk River's lush fairways, small, well-kept greens, oak woods, a meandering creek and strategically placed water hazards accommodate the novice, yet will challenge the accomplished golfer.
  • Emerald Greens Golf Course (Hastings): Thirty-six championship holes of golf, with a spacious, 50-station practice range and three-hole learning center, with PGA Professional on staff.

  • Fort Snelling Golf Course (St. Paul): The nine-hole, par-35 layout is a great test for the average golfer, offering a variety of holes. This golf course is known for its exceptional condition. The golfer will enjoy the closely mowed fairways and the smooth greens.

  • Francis Gross Golf Course (Minneapolis): This course has gently rolling hills with elevated tees and greens. There are three sets of tee-markers on each hole to challenge all skill levels. It is a mature course with lots of old trees.
  • Heritage Links (Lakeville): A beautiful 18-hole, par-71 championship golf course. The front nine has a links feel to it with water and rolling terrain. The back nine is more wooded, lined with trees, water, bunkers and great elevation changes. This course offers a challenge for all skill levels from beginner to experienced.
  • Hiawatha Golf Course (Minneapolis): An 18-hole regulation golf course, par 73. This is a long course, and is generally flat with mature trees and small greens. Two fairways and four tees border Lake Hiawatha. Minnehaha Creek flows into Lake Hiawatha through in back nine holes. There are 12 ponds and 30 sand traps strategically placed throughout the golf course.
  • Hidden Greens Golf Course (Hastings): An 18-hole, public championship golf course nestled in the woods. The course features mature, tree-lined fairways, rolling hills, and a great variety of holes. Considered by many to be the best value in the Twin Cities, Hidden Greens is a true test of shot-making skill, yet fun for all skill levels.
  • Highland National Golf Course (St. Paul): This course is long and challenging with a variety of hole layouts that will enable golfers to use a wide variety of clubs. This makes Highland National a premium course that offers the amenities of the modern course with the feel for a grand old traditional city course. This is an 18-hole, par-72 course with a 71.2 rating.
  • The Links at Northfork (Ramsey): An 18-hole championship course with four sets of tee boxes to provide golfers of all skill levels a challenge. Practice facilities include a spacious driving range, two practice greens, a chipping green, a practice sand bunker, and a par-11, three-hole practice loop. This course is one of only 100 courses in America to receive "Golf Digest's" "Great Value" honors.
  • Meadowbrook Golf Course (Hopkins): The course is an 18-hole layout, providing challenges for all levels of golfers. It has many interesting characteristics that provide beauty such as rolling hills, ponds, natural areas with wildflowers, and beautiful Minnehaha Creek running through the golf course.
  • Parkview Golf Course (Eagan): A public 18-hole golf course and driving range that features gentle hills, a wide variety of trees, 18 bunkers, a lake and a pond. The new driving range is a green grass practice facility featuring 26 state-of-the-art hitting stations and target greens. Group and private lessons along with golf camps offered. This course is a challenge for all abilities and fun to play.
  • Phalen Golf Course (St. Paul): This is an 18-hole, par-70 golf course that stretches along the west side of beautiful Lake Phalen in Phalen Park. The golf course presents numerous doglegs, water hazards, and sand traps. The golf course features a driving range and a practice putting green
  • The Refuge (Oak Grove): This course offers 350 acres of woods and wetlands that have been carved into a unique layout. The splendor of the course design is evident with island type tee boxes mixed within the wetlands, offering sensational views of nature and creating interesting tee-shot perspectives. The course has built the reputation as one of the top courses in Minnesota and earned a high rating from "Golf Digest. "
  • Rush Creek Golf Course (Maple Grove): An 18-hole championship golf course with a 300-yard practice range with covered stations at both ends, great for use in inclement weather.
  • Theodore Wirth Golf Course (Minneapolis): One of the oldest public golf courses in the state of Minnesota. The front nine is beautifully set around Bassett Creek with a few man-made lagoons to heighten the challenge. The front nine also offers several scenic views of the Minneapolis downtown skyline. The back nine offers completely different challenges with its rolling hills and mature trees.
