Kathleen H. Allen

As associate dean, I interact with students on many levels of their academic and student lives, including scheduling, academic counseling and completing graduation requirements. I also simply listen to their concerns.

I have been active in coordinating three student trips to Tianjin, China and the annual University of Minnesota medical student visit. I serve on Northwestern’s Mind, Body, Spirit Advisory Board, the Administrative Leadership Council, the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Steering Committee and Clinic Assessment Committee, the Great River Symposium Planning Team, the Discovery Day Team and the Scholarship Advisory Committee.

I often lead guided meditation sessions and Spring Forest Qi Gong meditation and practice sessions. I have completed training in Esoteric Healing, a modality which works with the chakra system - I enjoy speaking about the work to classes and treating friends.

Every day I’m privileged to work with students who will eventually become healers and health facilitators in their chosen profession, and with faculty and staff who are profoundly knowledgeable and professional.
