Currently Teaching (2012-2013)
My interest in acupuncture and emergency medicine has led me to continue my education and become an Emergency Room Technician and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). As a member of Acupuncturists Without Borders, it is my hope to blend acupuncture and emergency medicine in disaster and relief efforts worldwide. I am especially interested in auricular acupuncture as a powerful treatment. I am researching the effectiveness of auricular acupuncture used as an anesthesia treatment in disaster efforts.
I am also an instructor for the American Heart Association, teaching Basic Leife Support for Healthcare Providers. I teach CPR for Northwestern Health Sciences University and Three Rivers Park District for the members of the National Ski Patrol.
