Currently Teaching (2012-2013)

I am honored to represent the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the research department at Northwestern Health Sciences University. I believe research is the common language that bridges understanding between clinicians, patients and the healthcare system. Through research I want to explore the healing benefits of TCM.

I find using research, through evidence-informed practice (EIP) to be very satisfying, both in outpatient and clinical trial settings. I also love working on innovative projects that explore integrative forms of treatment that bring together all types of healing professions. My most recent professional efforts have focused on qualitative research exploring patient, family and staff perspectives of integrating complementary and alternative medicine into long-term care and assisted living facilities. I am also the lead supervisor for the clinical internship with Volunteers of America.
