How to Apply - School of Massage Therapy
Before you apply:
Review the admission requirements.
Step 1 - Obtain a username and password
If you have not already done so:
After you submit your contact information, you will receive an email from NWHSU Admissions with your username, password and a link to the online application portal.
If the NWHSU email is not in your inbox, check your spam folder.
If you submitted your contact information in the past, contact the Office of Admissions to obtain a user name and password.
Step 2 - Login to the application portal
You may now login and start your online application.
At any time, you may save your application, logout and complete it later.
Step 3 - Complete the application
Fill out the "Personal Information" and "Your Application" sections completely.
High schools, colleges and universities
List all the high schools, colleges and universities you’ve attended. You will contact these high schools, colleges and universities to have official transcripts sent directly to the Office of Admissions (Step 5).
Do not send transcripts with your application. Those transcripts will not be considered valid for admission.
Write a two-page summary of your interests and goals, addressing these questions:
a. Why are you interested in massage therapy?
b. How much background reading have you done about massage therapy?
c. Have you had personal experience with massage therapy?
d. Do you have any previous involvement in health or human services?
e. In your previous occupations and studies, what have you found to be most rewarding and most challenging?
f. Explain why you feel you wil be a good healthcare practitioner
g. How will you balance your work and personal life with the program’s time and financial obligations?
A current resumé must accompany your application.
Pay the non-refundable $50.00 application fee.
After completing Steps 1-3, you may submit your online application.
Step 4 – Background check consent form
Complete and submit a background check consent form (pdf)
Step 5 - Have high schools and colleges send official transcripts
Contact all high schools, colleges and universities you’ve attended and have them send official transcripts directly to:

Step 6 – Submit the Minnesota Immunization Form
Minnesota state law requires us to have a signed immunization form on file for each student:
