Step 1 - Complete the application

Fill out the application form completely.

References

Provide names and addresses of two references who can attest to your professional and/or academic skills. Northwestern will send reference forms to these people. References from instructors, employment supervisors, colleagues or other healthcare professionals are preferred, provided they know you well. Relatives are not accepted as references.

Transcripts

Have all high schools and all colleges and universities you’ve attended send official transcripts directly to the Office of Admissions. Do not send transcripts with your application. Those transcripts will not be considered for valid for admission.

Essay

Write a two-page summary of your interests and goals, including:

a. Why you are interested in massage therapy
b. How much background reading you have done about massage therapy
c. If you’ve had personal experience with massage therapy
d. Any previous involvement in health or human services
e. What pleased you and displeased you about previous occupations and fields of study
f. Why you believe you will be a good healthcare practitioner
g. How you will deal with the program’s time demands and financial obligations and their impact on your work and personal life

Minnesota Immunization Requirement

Minnesota state law requires us to have a signed immunization form on file for each student:
