Discovery Day

We invite you to explore your future in acupuncture and Oriental medicine at Discovery Day. This seminar, created by the dean and faculty of the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MCAOM), will allow you to:

  • Broaden your knowledge about the science and practice of acupuncture and Oriental medicine
  • Learn more about your future as an acupuncturist or Oriental medicine practitioner
  • Obtain in-depth information about MCAOM's curriculum and clinical internship program
  • Observe technique demonstrations by our experienced faculty members and clinicians
  • Meet and have a conversation with our faculty members
  • Talk with current students and our graduates
  • Tour the University and classrooms
  • Find out more about the application and financial aid process

Discovery Day will help you make the important decisions you are faced with concerning your future career in acupuncture and Oriental medicine. Join us and bring your questions with you...we'll make sure they get answered! You'll find out that Northwestern is exactly the right place for you to begin your future in acupuncture and Oriental medicine.

Northwestern attaches great importance to this unique event in preparing you for success in our acupuncture and Oriental medicine program. We also appreciate your commitment in participating in Discovery Day. For this reason, Northwestern will award you a choice of a:

  • $1000 first-term tuition grant, or
  • $500 first-term tuition grant and up to $500 reimbursement of travel and lodging expenses.

The tuition grant is contingent upon your enrollment at Northwestern. The travel reimburement is contingent upon your application to Northwestern.

Many of our multinational faculty were trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. They bring back their knowledge and experience not only to this seminar, but to the classroom and clinical training everyday.
