A Career and Curriculum Preparatory

The full-day, Saturday preparatory program at the School of Massage Therapy is designed to provide prospective students with a substantive introduction to the art and science of massage therapy along with insights into the Northwestern curriculum and clinical internship program.

The topics have been carefully selected to enhance your understanding of the profession and assist in your preparation for pursuing the massage therapy curriculum. When you attend this event you will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet and have a conversation with our faculty members;
  • Learn about your future in the profession;
  • Talk with current students and our graduates;
  • Observe technique demonstrations;
  • Tour the University and class rooms;
  • Learn about the applications and financial aid processes.

Northwestern attaches great importance to this unique preparatory program in positioning prospective students for success in the School of Massage Therapy. For this reason, and in recognition of the commitment prospective students demonstrate by participating in the preparatory, participants will receive a $100 tuition credit upon enrollment in Northwestern's School of Massage Therapy program.

Preparatory participants will also receive a $75 discount on one of Northwestern's introductory massage therapy workshops, which offer therapeutic massage instruction from one of the highly qualified faculty members who is nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. In addition, if a prospective student attends both a preparatory and a massage therapy workshop, they will receive a $125 tuition credit if they later enroll at Northwestern.
