The School of Massage Therapy is accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA).

COMPREHENSIVE CURRICULUM

The 780-hour massage therapy program at Northwestern builds a strong understanding of the human body through 195 hours of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, kinesiology and nutrition. It is one of the most comprehensive curriculums available in massage therapy in Minnesota.

OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL PREPARATION
Graduates will be fully prepared for most state certification requirements and will have attained the skill sets necessary to be successful in a wide variety of settings: hospitals and medical clinics; rehabilitation facilities; natural care centers; health clubs; fitness centers and sports facilities; health spas and salons; or private practice.

WELL-ROUNDED PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE
We put learning into practice through more than 120 hours of hands-on care in one of the University's public clinics.

TWO CONVENIENT PROGRAM OPTIONS
Students may enroll in one of two convenient program options: the day program or the evening program.

NATIONALLY-CERTIFIED EDUCATORS
All of the full-time technique instructors at Northwestern's School of Massage Therapy are nationally-certified massage therapists with at least five years of professional practical experience. They willingly pass on their dedication and expertise to our students.
