8 a.m. CDI Back In Shape 5K Run start
9 a.m. Patrick Holmes Memorial Walk
9 a.m. Awards ceremony for 5k run in the cafeteria (also prize drawing)
9:15 a.m. Kid's entertainment begins
10 a.m. Richfield Bloomington Credit Union Kids' Runs (on the soccer field)

If you are interested in raising money for VEAP with your participation in this walk, click here. In addition, participants and guests who bring in non-perishable food items to donate to VEAP will receive one raffle ticket entry into our drawing for a $500 travel voucher.

COURSE

The 5k run is an out-and-back course primarily on 84th Street and France Avenue. The route is along suburban streets and includes several hills. The walk is also an out-and-back course, with a portion of the walk looping around scenic Lake Girard on woodchip trails. Walkers can decide on the length of their walk by doing one, two or three circuits of Lake Girard. Click here to check out maps of the two courses.

5K Run

The 5k run begins at Northwestern Health Sciences University (2501 W. 84th Street) and heads west on 84th Street to France Avenue. Then the course heads south on France Avenue to 90th Street. Runners will take a left at 90th Street and another left in the Oak Hills Church Parking lot, heading towards France Avenue and back.

Walk

The walk begins at Northwestern Health Sciences University (2501 W. 84th Street) and heads west on 84th Street to France Avenue. Then the course wraps around Lake Girard on a woodchip path and leads back to 84th Street. Take a left on 84th Street and return to the University.

*Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome on the walk. Remember that more than half of the walk course is on wood chip paths. You do have the option of following the run course (but you will have to stay on sidewalks once you reach France Avenue).
