We offer chiropractic, acupuncture, Oriental medicine, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine and nurse practitioner services. Our patients are treated by faculty clinicians, often assisted by upper-trimester students of Northwestern.
We make evidence-informed decisions based on your individual needs. Our healthcare providers collaborate with each other. We are convinced that collaboration and integrative care produce better outcomes for our patients.
Chiropractic
The goal of chiropractic care is to relieve pain and improve the body’s overall physical function. Your doctor will take a health history, conduct a physical examination, determine a diagnosis and recommend a treatment plan. You might be treated with a variety of techniques and therapies to help you achieve optimal health.
Acupuncture and Oriental medicine
Acupuncture seeks to balance the body’s flow of energy and life forces to naturally treat conditions like pain, emotional and physical problems, addictions, and allergies. This is done most often by inserting tiny needles into acupuncture points – causing very little or no discomfort. Other techniques might be used, if indicated.
Oriental medicine combines acupuncture, bodywork and herbal therapy to help balance the body. Herbal remedies are also sometimes used on their own. Herbs typically won’t cause negative side effects.
Massage therapy
Massage therapy is designed to relieve pain, promote health and wellness, prevent injuries and rejuvenate the body. We provide relaxation, therapeutic and rehabilitative massage services. Our nationally-certified therapists have mastered techniques and therapies to treat your specific condition.
Naturopathic medicine
Naturopathic medicine prevents or addresses illness and restores health by recognizing the body’s innate healing ability. Your naturopathic doctors will offer treatment plans that include nutrition, lifestyle counseling, botanical or ayurvedic medicine, and homeopathy. Your diagnosis may require lab tests and the treatment plan may include natural supplements and vitamins.
Nurse practitioner services
Nurse practitioner services are provided by an advanced practice registered nurse who specializes in the care of chronic or acute conditions. The nurse practitioner focuses on you as a whole patient – beyond your immediate symptoms – treating illness, counseling, and providing education to enhance your quality of life. Our nurse practitioner is an ideal option for patients who are already seeing other like-minded providers such as doctors of chiropractic, acupuncturists, naturopaths and massage therapists.
