I am a nationally certified massage therapist at the Northwestern Health Clinic - Bloomington. I am also an instructor in the School of Massage Therapy at Northwestern Health Sciences University. I am certified in Neuromuscular Therapy, and Bodywork for the Childbearing Year. I have training in relaxation techniques, trigger point therapy and myofascial techniques. I teach courses in Relaxation Massage Therapy techniques and Functional Anatomy.
Before getting into massage therapy I worked as a personal trainer in a health club setting. I use that experience, along with the knowledge I obtained from my kinesiology degree, and combine it with massage to help people work through chronic pain or acute injuries.
I take a functional approach to bodywork, knowing that living daily life with ease and without pain is often a goal of my clients. I enjoy educating my clients about their treatments and their body so that they have a better understanding of their healing process.
