In addition, the campaign, “Imagine Our Future,” has raised more than $5 million of the $15 million planned giving goal, which will be used to establish a permanent endowment. The cash gifts are going toward funding a 48,000-square-foot addition to the south side of campus, the Wolfe-Harris Center for Excellence. Northwestern will also extensively renovate the current building with funds from the Capital Campaign. The result will be nearly 300,000 square feet of state-of-the-art educational facilities. “We are meeting lots of exciting prospective donors who are helping Northwestern move toward becoming the nation’s natural health care leaders in education,” Forseth said. A phonathon was also recently held, Forseth said, which raised $27,000 in gifts and pledges. About 3,500 alumni from all three programs were called, Forseth added. “We are seeing our percentage increase in terms of alumni giving to the campaign,” Forseth said. “There are lots of new partnership programs, which is great.” Susie Biwer, assistant director of development and Debbie Peterson, director of alumni, development and career services at Northwestern, said they were very pleased with the generosity of donors. “We’re right on schedule, and everything is really coming together,” said Peterson. “Everyone has been really supportive and generous – we’ve had an amazing response,” Biwer agreed.
