Research and Rehab Clinic Opens to PatientsPosted March 16, 2009
According to Allison Lindquist, patient coordinator, the first day went pretty smoothly. “Everyone is working together to get all the small kinks ironed out. I feel the space is warm and welcoming to patients,” she says. Roni Evans, DC, MS, dean of research, does want to remind everybody that now that the clinic is open, it’s important that students and employees do not park in the spots reserved for patients. “We realize that it can get frustrating to find a parking spot, especially as the weather gets colder,” she mentions. “We ask though that everybody be mindful that many of our patients are experiencing a lot of pain, or simply have trouble getting around. By having spots open for them, it makes it easier for them to get to the clinic, and shows that our University cares about their needs.” |

The Research and Rehab Clinic in the Wolfe-Harris Center for Clinical Studies officially opened its doors to patients Nov. 12 in the new Wolfe-Harris Center for Excellence. The clinicians and staff are still figuring out the flow of things, notes Barry Taylor, DC, research clinic director, but there’s also a lot of gratification in opening the clinic. “It’s great to be finally up and running. Our patients are really enjoying the new space, and everything is running smoothly thus far.”
