T10 Preceptorship Calendar - Summer 2008

Plan Ahead . . . Postgraduate Preceptorship Programs
Many states make allowances for individuals to continue supervised practice who have graduated with their DC degree, but are not yet licensed. Some states administer a program of their own (e.g. Minnesota), and others allow NWCC to do this for them (currently we work with California, Iowa, Utah, and Wisconsin). Both kinds of programs require the procurement of some form of malpractice insurance coverage and an administrative fee. It is important to plan ahead to determine if the state you are working in has such an option and what the process is to apply. Contact your State’s Board or our office for more information.
