Clinical Internship 1
The DeRusha Clinical Education Center, located on the University's
campus, provides initial clinical laboratory experience to trimester
6 interns. This experience gives them clinical practice prior to
beginning service in the University Health Service.
Clinical Internship 2
During trimester 7, students continue to apply and review all elements
of the patient care process as they work with faculty clinicians
in the University Health Service caring for patients from the campus
community.
Clinic Placement Preparatory Lab
The Department of Clinical Education meets five times per
term with Trimester 7 students for the transition from on-campus
student to the experiential, out-patient clinical component
of T8.
Clinical Education Remediation Panel (CERP) T7
Interns with clinical and interpersonal skill deficiencies
are evaluated by the Clinical Education Remediation Panel, a standing
University committee. When an intern needs a remediation plan, this
panel creates, implements, and monitors the plan.
