LIVE WELL SERIES: Seminars for Your Health and Wellness

The Live Well Series was developed to provide opportunities for the community to take control of their health and wellness. The monthly seminars are taught by faculty experts from Northwestern Health Sciences University and are designed to provide hands-on tips for natural approaches to health. Seminar topics are chosen based on past participants and are planned a minimum of four months in advance. For the current schedule, click here.

Interested in Presenting?

Northwestern Health Sciences University faculty and practitioners who are interested in presenting for the Live Well Series can follow these six easy steps for consideration.

Step One: Complete the application with your seminar idea and brief overview. Return to Ryan Chapman in Room 29 (communications). Due dates: Feb. 29 (summer); June 27 (fall); Oct. 31 (winter).

Step Two: Applications are reviewed every quarter by an advisory committee for fit into annual calendar.

Step Three: A letter and contract are sent to the applicant for final signature. To see a sample contract, click here.

Step Four: Contract is returned by due date with marketing information included. To see a sample of marketing information, click here.

Step Five: Presentation materials are due two weeks prior to seminar date. Honorarium form is sent with final room details and a reminder when the materials are received.

Step Six: Event is hosted on selected date and honorarium is paid following the seminar.

Natural News Service

Faculty and practitioners who are part of the Live Well Series have the opportunity to also provide content for the University's Natural News Service. The Natural News Service is an award-winning news service that goes to 1,000 newspapers throughout the seven-state Midwest area.

Instructor has the option of providing a consumer “Top 10” list to be published and quoted in the Natural News Service developed by the Office of Communications at Northwestern Health Sciences University. The template for submission is attached (See Exhibit B in the sample contract) and must be submitted prior to the date of the seminar. (Click here for samples of finalized Natural News Service article.) There is an additional honorarium for this service and it is not mandatory.

The Live Well Series Advisory Council consists of representatives from Northwestern Health Sciences University's faculty, staff, students, and alumni, as well as the Bloomington community.
