About Robert E. Hardy
Dr. Robert Hardy is a Minnesota Licensed Psychologist with a board competency in pain management. For the past eight years, he has been very active in the chiropractic community: lecturing, consulting and teaching courses on pain management and lifestyle issues. Dr. Hardy has been a clinic director and psychologist with various chronic pain programs. Currently, he is an adjunct professor at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Dr. Hardy received his doctorate degree in counseling from Western Michigan University, where he was a Mott Foundation Scholar. In 1991, he co-authored SELF-DEFEATING BEHAVIORS (Harper/Collins) the book is considered the classic work on why/how people repeat counterproductive behaviors. In 1996, he co-authored the SELF-DEFEATING ORGANIZATION (Addison/Wesley) applying his models to teams, groups and organizations.
