Michael Wiles, DC, MEd, MS
Dr. Wiles is a chiropractor with two master's degrees in education and 35 years experience in chiropractic practice, education and leadership, and has published and taught in the area of geriatric throughout his career. After serving as the Dean of the College of Chiropractic for four years, he became the Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs, in June 2009.
He was born in the UK, but grew up in Canada. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto, a Master of Education degree from Brock University, and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
Later he received his second master’s degree, a Master of Science in Medical Education Leadership from the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received one of the first earned Fellowships in the College of Chiropractic Science (Canada) in 1979.
Dr. Wiles practiced chiropractic in Canada for almost 29 years, while also serving in leadership positions in chiropractic education, prior to moving to Northwestern in 2005. He has published many professional papers, book chapters, and two textbooks.
