Introduction
POWERLIFT® Training was developed and patented by Michael J. Schaefer, DC, and has been used by many Fortune 500 companies in America and in Asia and Europe for the past decade. It is the preferred training by the United States Post Office. POWERLIFT®:
- Is a distinct departure from the traditional “place your feet shoulder distance apart, keep your back straight and lift with your legs” type training
- Is based on wide-stance lifting and materials handling as professional athletes use
- Combines ergonomic analysis with job task site training for a reality based training experience
- Provides resources for creating an ongoing safety culture at work and home
"Believe it or not, chiropractors are not taught in school what good biomechanics are for safe lifting - much less teach it to others. I was completely impressed and excited about my training in PowerLift. It gave me the tools to confidently deliver a thorough presentation to industry and healthcare. I use the concepts almost daily with my patients. PowerLift is definitely an important part of the services that I offer to my community." - Dr. Donald Brown, New Richmond, WI.
"After completing PowerLift training you can be confident you will be the best expert in this field. You will change the attitude of employess from negative to enthusiastic. This is a new way of lifting that will reduce injuries plus make employees feel stronger and confident when they lift or move material. Powerlift is contagious - preventative wellness care doesn't get any better than this! " - Dr. Fred Rashcke, Weyauwega, WI
