Excellence in Research, Scholarship or Creative
Activities: Dr. Michael Przeslawski, Research
|
Dr. Przeslawski
has created a library of information for individuals who
apply and do not qualify for studies at Northwestern. He
assists these patients in finding appropriate next steps
in their treatment. This initiative has given Northwestern
the reputation of being a truly caring clinical environment.
Dr.
Przeslawski shares scientific information, research, and
experiences in a classroom setting as a voluntary lecturer
in the chiropractic Geriatrics class several times each term.
He has compiled interesting research patient cases into a
database to be shared with students and other faculty. He
and Dr. Craig Schulz are using these cases to develop the
"Best Practices Case of the Month" series where faculty and
students will be invited to discuss interesting cases in the
context of their own clinical experience, the scientific literature
and patients' preferences. |
