| This presentation is directed to faculty and administrators of clinical education programs who are interested in a comprehensive program of assessment for clinical internships. This presentation reviews an assessment model used by a professional degree program at Northwestern Health Sciences University. The model includes the following four areas of focus: student, clinical supervisors, program, and curriculum. The instruments to collect comparative and progressive data are reviewed, along with the feedback loop for curriculum improvements. Learning outcomes for this session include the following: describe the program and systematic data collection tools, identify four principal areas of assessment and methods of analysis, and understand the feedback loop that puts data in the hands of groups responsible for oversight and improvement. |
