To discuss the difference between synchronous and asynchronous online learning. A helpful chart to guide decision-making about which format to use will be provided.

As an example, we will look at how two universities, the University of Minnesota and Florida Community College at Jacksonville, support and retain online faculty. This brief session will describe the lengthy process of building a community of support for online virtual adjunct instructors at FCCJ and the supports established at the U of MN.
