in higher education since 1971. AAC&U’s work in this
area has focused primarily on higher education’s responsibilities

resources, supports faculty study and institutional planning, and

related to Latinos. The list includes Chicano (Mexican American),
Puerto Rican, and Cuban American Web resources, as well as sites
that pertain to Salvadorans, Dominicans, Colombians, and Guatemalans
residing in the US . Only Web sites that are reflective of U.S. Latino
realities are included; sites that are exclusively Latin American
in focus are not included. Recommended Web sites are evaluated for
breadth, perceived authority, stability, usefulness, and accuracy.
Web index sites, clearinghouses, directories, e-journals
and electronic news are the focus. A new section reviews a
number of new commercial US Latino portals
and commercial subject directories now being developed and
marketed to Latinos in the U.S. Go
