The Minnesota Transgender Health Coalition (MTHC) is committed to improving health care access and the quality of health care received by trans and gender non-conforming people through education, resources, and advocacy. The objectives of this two-part event are:
- Understand the definition “transgender” and other terms related to transgender lives, health and experiences
- Identify the primary health concerns of transgender individuals
- Understand the appropriate ways to work with trans identified patients and discuss their health care needs
- Understand strategies for improving the clinical environment for transgender patients
