Homecoming Scholarships: Privately Funded

Homecoming scholarships are privately funded and are awarded at the annual MCAOM Great River Symposium and Winter Gathering. A list of potentially available scholarships are provided below.

APPLICATION INFORMATION: 2009 GREAT RIVER SYMPOSIUM AND WINTER GATHERING SCHOLARSHIPS

Application Deadline: To be announced.

Eligibility: U.S. and international MCAOM students, T2 and above.

Application forms: Application forms are available online (click on the links listed below for each scholarship) or you may pick up forms in the Student Records and Financial Services office (SRFS).

Application Process: Turn in your application, with attachments, to the Student Records and Financial Services office no later than 4:30 p.m. on the day of the application deadline.

This general information is for your review and is subject to change. As deadlines for application are established, the Student Records and Financial Services office (SRFS) will notify enrolled MCAOM students via email about the application process.

Funding for most of these scholarships is dependent on economic trends over the past year. Based on this information, the Accounting Department informs us what scholarships can be offered and the dollar amounts that can be awarded. In order to give you something to apply for, a list is provided of possible scholarships. If there are particular scholarships on the list that interest you, make sure all of the criteria required for that scholarship are included with your application form. You may submit criteria for more than one scholarship.

Most of the scholarships require a Faculty Evaluation & Recommendation Form. A Faculty Evaluation & Recommendation Form will be available online or may be picked up in the SRFS office. You may leave those forms with a faculty member, who will be responsible for forwarding the completed form to the SRFS office by the application deadline. One completed form can be used for multiple scholarships.

NOTE: If you are required to complete a Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) because you are normally eligible to receive federal student loans, you must have already filed your FAFSA prior to submitting a scholarship application in order to be considered for an award.

Award recipients will be decided by the NWHSU Scholarship Advisory Committee at the end of January. All award recipients will be notified by e-mail. Recipients will be asked to attend the evening dinner during the MCAOM Great River Symposium and Winter Gathering where all names, trimester levels, and state/province of residency will be announced to the attendees.

If you have any questions about the scholarships or process for awarding, please contact Marla Warner in the SRFS office at (952) 888-4777, ext. 440 or mwarner@nwhealth.edu.
