Diplomate Tuition Award

The Diplomate Tuition Award is available to graduate students who bring prior experience and current expertise to the Master of Health Science (MHS) program. It is awarded to select graduate students in their second year of the master's program in:

  • Clinical Chiropractic Orthopedics
  • Clinical Nutrition
  • Diagnostic Imaging

Award available

  • Up to 6 credits (2 courses) of tuition credit

Who can apply

Students admitted into the MHS program who hold a diplomate in an American Chiropractic Association (ACA)-approved specialty board, including DACO, DABCO, DACBN, DCBCN and DACBR

OR

MHS students who complete a diplomate in the same area of study as the MHS program they are enrolled in:

  • Clinical Chiropractic Orthopedics - DACO, DABCO
  • Clinical Nutrition - DACBN, DCBCN
  • Diagnostic Imaging - DACBR

Eligibility requirements

  • Currently enrolled in the MHS program
  • Good academic standing
  • Active status with an ACA-approved specialty board
  • Active involvement and high achievement in your board specialty
  • Do not have any MHS academic credit approved as transfer credit, credit by exam or credit by review
  • Cumulative GPA will be a criterion if there are multiple applications

Scholarship limits/restrictions

  • The maximum number of credits granted for tuition award will not exceed 6 credits (2 courses)
  • A limited number of awards will be granted each year, not to exceed 6 awards per program in each academic calendar

Application procedure

  1. Complete a Diplomate Tuition Award Application
  2. Have your application signed by the Chair of your MHS program.
  3. Turn in your application to the Office of the Registrar to request copies of your transcript.
  4. Return the completed and signed application to the program chair.

NOTE: Keep a copy of the application for your records.

Award notification

Upon satisfactory review by the award committee, the Diplomate Tuition Award will be announced to the applicant by the program chair.

Upon receipt of a tuition award, an adjustment may be made to your financial aid package, if applicable, to meet federal regulations and institutional policies.
