Traina Mission Fund
Improve the health of people in Costa Rica
Support Northwestern students who provide chiropractic care and massage therapy to an underserved population in central Costa Rica. Several weeks each year, students and faculty travel to La Clinica de la Mariposa to treat patients from multiple communities, who receive care at the clinic for free.
Your donation to the Traina Mission Fund helps the clinic continue to treat patients.
Help sustain Dr. Traina's vision
The Traina Mission Fund was established by former Northwestern president Dr. Alfred Traina and his wife Ann. Dr. Traina believed in bringing chiropractic care to low-income patients in other parts of the world and giving students the opportunity to learn from that experience. He was the president of Northwestern from 2001 to 2006, had served on our faculty, and had a successful career in chiropractic.
