The nervous system (central, peripheral, autonomic) is explored in great depth regarding relevant neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and correlated clinically for the chiropractic orthopedist. Common and critically important neurological syndromes and disorders are presented from a clinical point of view. Preventing, recognizing and managing acute and chronic pain syndromes are emphasized. Pharmacology related to orthopedic practice as well as non-drug approaches to management are discussed. The practical component consists of the orthopedic and neurological examination of standardized patients.
