ORTH6001:ADVANCED ORTHOPEDIC PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE

Course covers orthopedic principles and pathologies from basic science aspects through to clinical presentation, providing a foundation for further coursework and studies in orthopedics. Care is taken to ensure that topics are covered at an appropriate depth and breadth of scope to avoid redundancy with prior course work in clinical orthopedics. Standardized patients are used to illustrate key elements of clinical orthopedic assessment. Professional, medicolegal, and recordkeeping issues are also explored from a practical viewpoint.
