Course will cover the normal physiology of aging of adults ages 65 and above as it relates specifically to the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. Emphasis will be placed on disorders (both common and critical) of older adulthood related to these systems. In-depth coverage of geriatric NMS conditions and management (both conservative and medical) will be discussed. Preventive behaviors and lifestyle habits that ensure successful aging particularly those related to nerve, muscle and bone health are explored.
