Course includes focused study and application of the principles of biomechanics and kinesiology, exercise science and physical rehabilitation with an emphasis on clinical applications in the chiropractic specialty practice of orthopedics. Also covers the principles and practice of using assistive devices, bracing, supports, orthotics and other orthopedic appliances that are used in practice. Practical sessions will be held in a clinical setting including hands-on experiences and working with standardized patients to illustrate key elements of clinical biomechanics, exercise science and physical rehabilitation.
