GRAD5010:PRINCIPLES OF EVIDENCE-BASED HEALTHCARE

This course guides the student through an investigation of the principles of evidence-based health care and the practical application of those principles. Evidence-informed practice (EIP) is an approach that integrates clinical findings, patient preferences, research, and clinical experience into the process of health care delivery. Students will practice identifying, acquiring, evaluating, and synthesizing the evidence on selected topics of relevance to clinical practice. Students will learn the strengths and limitations of each element of EIP through online modules and will learn how to use this information to enhance clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.
