Hormones released in response to short- and long-term stress impair memory and cognitive processing in children and adults. Manage your stress to keep your brain functioning to its fullest! Some suggestions include regular exercise, contact with a supportive family member or friends, deep-breathing exercises, meditate, massage, yoga, tai chi, guided imagery, music, rest, and eat healthily.
