1 in 3 Americans Chronically Overworked. Are You?

One in three Americans report feeling chronically overworked according to a study by Families and Work Institute. Contributing factors to feeling overworked include the demands of multi-tasking in a fast-paced, very competitive global economy; frequent interruptions; and working during non-work times. Nearly half of employees who feel overworked report that their health is poor. Overworked employees experience high levels of stress, are less likely to take good care of themselves, are more likely to make mistakes, get angry with employers for expecting them to do so much, and resent coworkers who don't work as hard.

Being highly overworked can have serious negative consequences for your health and job performance.
