Runner’s World - sign up for a free newsletter; find information on race schedules and training tips for events (including nutrition and mind body) – along with other resources to keep you motivated.

www.active.com – this site allows you to register for a variety of events; has numerous articles and resources for training for various events; and has much, much more. Also, If you’re going to participate in running, cycling, or triathlon events but aren’t quite sure what gear you might need to get you through, check out their Gear Guide.
www.trainingpeaks.com – The Endurance Operating System. This easy to use web based training system can help you train and peak for any endurance event. This is serious software for endurance athletes (runners, cyclists, mountain bikers, triathletes, duathletes and others) that want serious results. They also have lots of pre-built training plans from beginner to advanced along with message boards to help with any of your training questions.
Midwest Events – search for running or walking events and training groups.
TwinCitiesSports.com– get information on upcoming running and walking events in the Twin Cities.
