Fitness from A to Z

We all know we should exercise. In fact there are more than 60 scientifically proven benefits with exercising just 30 minutes. Numerous studies have found that the number one excuse for not exercising, regardless of whether you’re currently working, retired, or anything in between, is lack of time. James Prochaska, Ph.D., a leader in behavior change research, states that “if you have no time for 50-60 benefits, your life is unhealthily busy!”

So stop making excuses! Exercise comes in many forms, but don’t be overwhelmed; all of the latest information you need is here, and there’s likely something for you (make sure you consult your physician prior to beginning any exercise program). The bottom line is that you have to find the motivation inside you. A great book that addresses finding internal motivation rather than focusing on external sources is The Intrinsic Exerciser by Jay Kimiecik. His four-step plan for finding personal pleasure in exercise and in becoming an intrinsic exerciser is what makes this book worth reading for anyone who has yet to love exercising.

If you need more personal interaction to motivate you, consider taking advantage of a Personal Trainer; there are options that are more affordable and convenient than you might think. Click here for some resources to get you started.
