Self-Massage: Arms

Most people gravitate toward every area but their arms when it comes to a self massage. However, choosing to ignore your arms means you’re not releasing tension elsewhere in the body, such as in the shoulders. The following are tips from the Cool Nurse to follow that make giving a massage to your arms easy:

  1. Smooth your whole arm by continuously stroking the wrist to the shoulder. Stroke this area firmly while moving up the arm and gliding the arm back and repeating the motion.
  2. Knead the area all the way up your arm and squeeze your skin tightly and release. Pay special attention to the fleshy area on the back of your upper arm.
  3. Follow-up with circular pressures to your forearm with your thumb. Continue to make the circular pressures in all the hollow areas around the elbow.
  4. Pat the upper arm to stimulate the circulation and finally, stroke the entire arm again.

Now you are on your way to having not only great feeling, but great looking arms as well!
