Spotlight on Wellness

Dan Prill, network/system administrator

What does wellness mean to you?
To me, Wellness mean being able to perform to my full potential, both physically and mentally.

What do you do to stay well?
exercise by running and walking year-round. During the summer I bike ride. I also try to eat as healthily as I can.

How do you work wellness into your day?
I try to get out and take a 10-minute walk during the day. If I will be sitting in a chair for a long period of time I try to stretch and walk around.

What are your biggest struggles for maintaining wellness?
Maintaining an exercise schedule is my biggest struggle. It’s also hard to get out and exercise in the cold weather.

How do you find time to workout?
I have decided that working out is my top priority. Exercise takes priority over any other activity that I do.

Why is being well important to you?
Being well is important to me because it’s easier to maintain wellness when you are healthy versus being sick. I am for preventative care.

Do you have any recommended resources for wellness?
I use the Internet to search topics that I am interested in. I also recommend attending Paul Ratté’s, ND, “10 Weeks to Wellness” program.
