How Can I Tell if an Environment is Too Loud?

If your environment is considered to be too loud, you would need to raise your voice over the noise to talk to someone who is an arms length away. Also, if your ears are ringing or sound is dull or flat after exposure to noise, then the previous experience was too loud.

How Often Should Hearing be Tested?

People should have their hearing checked annually if they are exposed to hazardous noise daily or if they notice a change in their hearing. If you are not exposed to constant loud noise on a daily basis, it is recommended to have your hearing checked every three years.
