![]() Take Care of Your Eyes—Get Regular Eye Exams
Protect and monitor your vision and eye health. See your eye doctor regularly for a comprehensive eye exam. The American Optometric Association recommends visiting your optometrist on the following schedule depending on your age. If you develop eye, vision, or other health problems that can affect vision, such as diabetes, you will need to see an eye doctor more often. And if you have a higher risk for developing eye problems, you will also need to have your eyes examined more often. Even if you are not experiencing any eye or vision problems, a regular eye exam is still important. Sometimes eye disease and vision problems are not always apparent without an eye exam. Detecting and treating eye diseases early can help to limit or slow vision loss.
