Available NWHSU Hardware/Software Configurations

What is available:

• Windows XP
• Microsoft Office XP Professional
• Standard fonts - fonts downloaded from the internet or elsewhere may not be loaded on NWHSU presentation computers
• Real Audio 10.0
• Quicktime 6.5
• Internet Explorer 6.0
• CD-ROM drive

A note on CDs:
CDR format drives are available. However, be sure to test your CD-ROM on several computers prior to coming to NWHSU. There have been situations where CDRs fail to operate. Do not use CD-RW formatted disks.

A note on laptops:
If you bring your own laptop, make sure to bring your power supply. In addition, notify Continuing Education, Alumni/Career Development or the Institute of Health and Wellness in order that the appropriate cables can be made available. NWHSU is not responsible for damage or loss of personal PCs.

What is not available:

• Zip drives are not provided
• Syquest is not provided
• CD-RW format drives are not available
• For legal and license issues, no software may be loaded on NWHSU computers
