Northwestern Health Sciences University Works with Outside Agency to Define Strategic Theme
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Two consultants from the Association of Governing Boards (AGB) visited Northwestern Health Sciences recently to assess Northwestern’s theme of being the University of choice for natural health care, and what that means among University employees, students, alumni, and the community.
Terry MacTaggert, MD, MBA, PhD, is an experienced leader and scholar in higher education. Ellen Chaffee, PhD, primary areas of expertise include leadership, governance, strategy, innovation, and quality. They were on campus conducting interviews and focus groups from a cross-section of people. Drs. MacTaggart and Chaffee met with constituents the University does business with, such as employees, alumni, patients, and other health care systems.
AGB has worked with a number of other institutions for similar purposes. Mark Zeigler, DC, president of Northwestern, and those institutions will eventually collaborate to discuss their goals and themes. AGB will generate reports to present to Northwestern’s Board of Trustees.
Northwestern Health Sciences University offers a wide array of choices in natural health care education including chiropractic, Oriental medicine, acupuncture, therapeutic massage and human biology. The University has nearly 900 students on a 25-acre campus in Bloomington, Minnesota. |
