Northwestern Health Sciences University Faculty to Present at World Conference in Beijing
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Two Northwestern Health Sciences University faculty members will be presenting at a conference in Beijing, China, entitled, “Chiropractic Education in an Era of Digital Natives and Digital Immigrants: How to Make the Successful Transition to 21st Century Technology.”
Glori Hinck, DC, assistant professor, and Thomas Bergmann, DC, professor, were invited by the World Federation of Chiropractic to submit abstracts that fit the technological theme. Whenever there is a pending conference, the World Federation of Chiropractic solicits chiropractic scholars to submit their work for the event.
Between Dr. Hinck and Dr. Bergmann, who both teach in the College of Chiropractic, three articles were submitted. “We were hoping to get one of our papers accepted to the conference,” says Dr. Bergmann. “To have all three accepted was an honor.” The submissions were entitled: “The Use of an Online Learning Management System (Moodle®) for Case Study Presentation & Student Assessment”; “Assessment of Online Learning in a Chiropractic Technique Course”; and “Technology Applications in Online Leaning at Northwestern Health Sciences University.”
The abstracts of the work being presented at the world conference in Beijing will be published in the “Journal of Chiropractic Education.” An online version of the journal can be found at http://www.journalchiroed.com/.
