Blood Drive Donations at Northwestern Health Sciences University Surpass Goal
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Northwestern students and staff gave 48 donations in a University blood drive, surpassing the organizers’ goal. “Our goal was 41 donations, so we did well,” said Joessa Austin, Student Senate President-elect, and a coordinator of the drive.
Of the 48 donations, five were double donations, meaning those individuals gave twice as much blood. The blood drive took place on March 24 in the gymnasium. Donations will go to Memorial Blood Centers, which serves more than 30 hospitals in the Twin Cities area, northern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.
