Northwestern Health Sciences University’s Oriental Medicine Students Build National Reputation
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Three Northwestern students were elected in October 2007 to serve on the Student Organization Council of the American Association of Oriental Medicine Student Organization (AAAOM-SO).
AAAOM-SO is a student organization at Northwestern whose mission is to enrich the field of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine by providing students with opportunities to actively participate in its professional advancement and integrity. Northwestern had the first AAAOM-SO program in the nation.
Amanda Troelsen, an April 2007 graduate is currently the national co-president; Hilary Patzer, trimester 6 Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine student (T6 MCAOM), is the central regional director; and Jolene Habeck, T6 MCAOM, is the national president-elect, and will serve as president for the 2008-2009 year.
Northwestern Health Sciences University offers a wide array of choices in natural health care education including chiropractic, Oriental medicine, acupuncture, therapeutic massage and human biology. The University has nearly 1,000 students on a 25-acre campus in Bloomington, Minnesota.
