Dr. Joseph Sweere Takes on New Position in Development Office at Northwestern Health Sciences University
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – After 22 years as a full-time faculty member at Northwestern Health Sciences University, Joseph Sweere, DC, DABCO, DACBOH, FICC, has taken on a new position in the development office at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Dr. Sweere officially began this new venture on Sept. 1. His new responsibilities will account for 30 percent of his job at Northwestern, and he will continue teaching for the remaining portion.
Dr. Sweere is a recognized figure in the natural care field. He’s lectured in 44 states and eight countries. He has been interviewed for health related articles in the “New York Times,” the “Washington Post” and the “Reader's Digest.” He serves as a columnist for several health-related publications and has authored professional papers in a wide variety of journals and trade magazines. He’s the author of “The Golden Rules for Vibrant Health, in Body, Mind and Spirit- A Holistic Approach to Health and Wellness.”
His new responsibilities include reaching out to alumni, corporations, the community, and faculty and staff for contributions to the University. He also assists with student recruitment, professional outreach, and continuing education. Within his new position, Sweere hopes to make progress in connecting with the corporate world outside the chiropractic profession.
Northwestern Health Sciences University offers a wide array of choices in natural health care education including chiropractic, Oriental medicine, acupuncture, therapeutic massage and human biology. The University has nearly 900 students on a 25-acre campus in Bloomington, Minnesota.
