Northwestern Health Sciences University Gives Back to the Community on Make a Difference Day
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Nearly 60 student, staff, and faculty volunteers from Northwestern Health Sciences University raked the lawns of elderly homeowners in Bloomington as part of Make a Difference Day on Oct. 25, 2008.
Make a Difference Day is a national day of helping others. This is the sixth year that volunteers from Northwestern have participated. According to Jeff Graham, BS, human resources generalist at Northwestern, who coordinates the effort, 10 yards in Bloomington were raked this year. “The event went really well. The homeowners wished they had a few more leaves for us to rake, but they were very thankful that we came out,” he said.
