Despite the Heat, the Annual President’s Invitational has Great Turnout for Northwestern Health Sciences University
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The President’s Invitational raised an estimated $150,000 for Northwestern Health Sciences University on July 29, 2008.
The success of the event was made possible by the 50 volunteers and 200 golfers that attended. Among the golfers were Minnesota Timberwolves executive Kevin McHale; former Twins player Tony Oliva; former Vikings linebacker Matt Blair; and former NHL player Reed Larson. Other attendees traveled from all over the United States to attend the event.
According to Brady Forseth, BA, chief development officer, “The event was a huge success! We are really excited about the turnout of the Invitational.”
Next year, the annual President’s Invitational will be the last event held at the renowned Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn, before the course is closed for the 2009 PGA Championship.
Northwestern Health Sciences University offers a wide array of choices in natural health care education including chiropractic, Oriental medicine, acupuncture, therapeutic massage and human biology. The University has nearly 1,000 students on a 25-acre campus in Bloomington, Minnesota.
