Northwestern Health Sciences University Capital Campaign Web Site is Up and Running!
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The capital campaign Web site for Northwestern Health Sciences University is now available for the public to view at http://www.nwhealth.edu/capitalcampaign/, and has many useful features for those interested in learning more about the campaign, “Imagine Our Future.”
“This capital campaign Web site is an important tool that provides updates and shows progress of the capital campaign, and delivers much more,” said Debbie Peterson, executive director of alumni, development and career services at Northwestern. “The valuable site also includes easy access to information on giving opportunities; it spotlights the donors who are major contributors to the campaign; and the site also includes regularly updated photos of construction of the new building.”
Additional site features include a slideshow of architectural renderings of the new building; a news section with regular updates about the capital campaign, construction of the new building and renovation of the current building; and detailed information about what donations to the campaign will fund. All donors to the campaign will also be listed on the site.
Content for the site was developed by Peterson and John Healy, BS, director of communications at Northwestern. The site was designed by Monika Rimple, BA, University web coordinator.
The “Imagine Our Future” campaign goal is $23 million. The $8 million in cash donations will fund immediate University needs, including $6.5 million for the construction of a new 48,000-square-foot addition on the south side of campus; $1 million for renovations to the current building; and $500,000 for a new Healing Courtyard connecting the two structures. The $15 million in planned gifts will be used to establish a permanent endowment to fund Northwestern’s long-term needs and new projects and programs.
Even though the Web site is brand new it has received an overwhelmingly positive response, according to Brady Forseth, BA, chief development officer at Northwestern.
“Some of the remarks about the site that we have heard so far include that the site integrates all aspects of the capital campaign by including great stories, content and graphic design in an exciting and easy-to-use way,” said Forseth. “It also presents an outstanding case as to why Northwestern is striving to become the nation’s university of choice in natural health care.”
Donations to the capital campaign can be made online at the new Web site, according to Forseth.
Northwestern Health Sciences University offers a wide array of choices in natural health care education including chiropractic, Oriental medicine, acupuncture, therapeutic massage, human biology, and integrative health and wellness. The University has more than 900 full-time students on a 25-acre campus in Bloomington, Minn.
