Jason Bartlett,
DC, is a faculty clinician at University Health
Services and assistant professor at Northwestern
Health Sciences University. Dr. Bartlett also
practices at the Natural Care Center at Woodwinds,
one of the University’s off-campus clinics.
He received his doctor of chiropractic degree
from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in
1988 and completed his bachelor's degree in human
biology at Northwestern Health Sciences University.
Dr. Bartlett enjoys supervising the chiropractic
student interns at University Health Services. "I'm
very impressed with our interns' level of skill
and professionalism," says Bartlett. "I
am proud to know that they are Northwestern's
future alumni."
"One of the most important things about
chiropractic is connecting with the patients," says
Barlett. "I believe in educating the patient
about their health condition so that they are
committed to their treatment plan and in improving
their own health. And it's very important to
give explanations in words that the patient can
grasp."
As a generalist in his practice, Dr. Bartlett
loves working with a diverse mix of patients
and a variety of health conditions, including
children with spinal problems, pregnant women,
and couples facing infertility issues.
"My experience as a practicing chiropractor
has reinforced what I consider to be three basic
truths," states Dr. Bartlett. "The
first is that chiropractic principles are as
valid today as they were over 100 years ago.
Secondly, patients must commit themselves to
maintaining their own health. And finally, as
doctors of chiropractic, we need to lead by example
if we are to be considered experts in health
care."
Dr. Bartlett is married and has three active
teenage sons. |
